One of Bolivar Peninsula’s Biggest Community Events Returns August 1
If you’ve spent any time on Bolivar Peninsula, you’ve probably heard about the annual Golf Cart Poker Run. What started as a fun community event has grown into one of the peninsula’s most anticipated traditions, bringing together residents, visitors, businesses, and volunteers for a great cause.
The 2026 Golf Cart Poker Run will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, with participants spending the day traveling the peninsula by golf cart, collecting poker cards at designated stops before gathering for the popular after-party at Stingaree’s Down Under.
In addition to the poker run itself, participants can compete for prizes including Best Poker Hand, Best Decorated Golf Cart, Largest Team, and the Team That Traveled the Furthest. The event also features a live auction supported by donations from local businesses and community members.
